Very clean, and nice small place. I can not remember/pronounce any names, but everthing we ordered was delicious. The beef skewers were the best, and I could have just had that. The second best item was a noodle dish with tiny sausage, very good. The weirdest item was a drink called Hola Hola, which seemed very authentic, but I wasnt a fan. I didn't like the crunchy ice, or the condensed milk, there was red beans as well. The ice just didnt do it for me.

Greatest Filipino restaurant Period. My family and I travel a lot and we always stop at every Filipino restaurant we can We've seen good and we've seen bad Filipino restaurants. Manila Express is by far the best we've been to in this country. The prices were on mark. The quality was absolutely exceptional. If your in the Port Charlotte area, its worth the stop.

Great place! Yummy food that is definitely not the norm for this area. If you are not sure about Filipino food, you can see everything before ordering. The chicken skewers are amazing! Get the garlic rice if available. Smoothies are awesome. The food is like down home Vietnamese. And, the family who owns the business is super nice. Please support them.

Stopped in for lunch today. What a great experience the food was fresh and loaded with flavor in every bite. Eddie the owner was pleasant and explained the dishes in depth. The garlic rice worked with each protein. The pork dishes were extremely tasteful and the BBQ sauce was spot on. And the mango shake completed this wonderful experience in full. The restaurant is a must try.

The Filipino saints have spoken and shared their amazing food with Port Charlotte and even people like me from Naples! Filipino cuisine does just exist on the east coast and in Tampa, it's finding its way closer into my life. So thank you, Manila Express. So, I have to tell you that it's hard to judge anything more than my mother's amazing cooking but she's in Canada. This is the next best thing. The restaurant is situated in a strip plaza, and it's a little hard to place if you don't know what you're looking for. But when you find this diamond in the rough, you'll be pleased that you came. The restaurant is far from anything fancy and it's super casual cafeteria style where you choose your food at the front counter behind the glass. Everything is labeled and explained so there's no guess work, and staff is at hand to answer any questions. They had their staples such as pancit (rice noodles) and lechon (roasted pork), along with unique dishes that exude everything familiar with my childhood. They also items that may not be easily seen or could be cooking another batch of something new. All you have to do is ask. I learned this valuable lesson when I asked for banana-que which is fried banana on a stick, after them bringing out Turon, which is plantain wrapped in a spring roll wrapper with jackfruit and deep fried. Bad move on my part. The family that works there were super informative and educational without a certain pretentiousness that sometimes comes when customers have to ask every question in the book. They are extremely patient and pleasant as you make your next food choice when choosing your two-dish combo with rice. Although I didn't experience first hand, I did witness a customer coming in because she was pining for their halo-halo (which literally means mix-mix). It's shaved ice with condensed milk, and a bunch of other stuff like coconut, mango, purple yam ice cream, red beans, etc. It's easier if you just google it. She snuck out of the office to grab this famous dessert that they do so well. The ambiance again is quite casual, and if you can muster up a little courage, there are many opportunities for karaoke. It's a heinous crime if you don't get your karaoke fill. You'd make Pacquiao proud. For all you virgin Filipino food eaters out there, it's a hybrid between spanish food and chinese food. Lots of good hearty and meaty dishes typically in a sauce and vegetables, served with rice or noodles. It's sure to please the unadventurous because there's nothing weird to taste unless you ask for something weird. I'll definitely be back again in case I miss home. 27-2015

A pretty decent filipino restaurant with many of the favorites. The chicken adobo, lumpia, and barbecue pork was made exactly how I imagined. There are a few things about this place that should be noted. The place is pretty small and most things are not made to order. Second, they tend to not have everything on their menu at times. I was looking to get an empanada but the did not have any. Though, neither one of these notes should prevent you from going to this place. I feel this is a fairly good representation of classic filipino food. Overall this place is good and I plan on going back to this place when I am in the area. They also make their own desserts and pandesal (filipino bread).
